Based in Ashington, we specialise in performance and fuel economy tuning on most modern cars and light commercials.
We also specialise in DPF cleaning and repairs and were the founder member of The DPF Doctor network.
The company was formed in 2008 by Darren Darling. Darren is a vehicle technician and diagnostics specialist with 28 years experience and works alongside Callum Lee, who joined the team 5 years ago and is now a vital part of Energy Tuning Ltd.
We take immense pride in our work and treat customers vehicle’s as if they were our own so your pride and joy will be treated with respect while in our care.
We aim to bring you high-quality affordable tuning services without any technobabble and will always give you honest advice, rather than tell you what you want to hear just to get a sale. We will only remap your vehicle if we are satisfied with our pre remap health checks including data logging. This is not just a quick code read as we will be monitoring fuelling, boost, DPF condition etc and we repeat this process after the remap.
While carrying out any remap we will be using fully licensed tools including genuine Alientech Kess V2 Master and Alientech K-Tag Master tools. A high-quality battery support unit is also used during OBD programming.

He first started working here as a schoolboy in around 2012 at weekends, school holidays and after school with him eventually working here full time (I’m not even sure we offered him a job….. he just kept turning up!).
Callum has now grown into a highly skilled and well respected diagnostic technician with excellent customer service skills and a great work ethic.
With a keen interest in learning new skills, you don’t need to ask Callum twice to go on any training courses.
