Based in Ashington, we specialise in performance and fuel economy tuning on most modern cars and light commercials.
We also specialise in DPF cleaning and repairs and were the founder member of The DPF Doctor network.
The company was formed in 2008 by Darren Darling. Darren is a vehicle technician and diagnostics specialist with 36 years experience and also overseas the training and technical support for The DPF Doctor network.
We take immense pride in our work and treat customers vehicle’s as if they were our own so your pride and joy will be treated with respect while in our care.
We aim to bring you high-quality affordable tuning services without any technobabble and will always give you honest advice, rather than tell you what you want to hear just to get a sale. We will only remap your vehicle if we are satisfied with our pre remap health checks including data logging. This is not just a quick code read as we will be monitoring fueling, boost, DPF condition etc and we repeat this process after the remap.
While carrying out any remap we will be using fully licensed tools including genuine Alientech Kess V3, V2 Master and Alientech K-Tag Master tools. A high-quality battery support unit is also used during OBD programming.

Callum is a very much part of the fixtures and fittings here at Energy Tuning Ltd.He first started working here as a schoolboy in around 2012 at weekends, school holidays and after school with him eventually working here full time (I’m not even sure we offered him a job….. he just kept turning up!).
Callum has now grown into a highly skilled and well respected diagnostic technician with excellent customer service skills and a great work ethic.
With a keen interest in learning new skills, you don’t need to ask Callum twice to go on any training courses.

Darren started in the motor trade in 1990 as a truck mechanic in Berwick-upon Tweed. Over the years he progressed to running his own garage and developed a keen interest in fault finding. In 2008 the decision was made to form a more specialist company and Energy Tuning was formed.
Darren is our main technician and has built a solid reputation as one of the industries leading DPF specialists. Darren develops and delivers the technical training to the entire DPF Doctor network so you are in safe hands if your car is booked in with Energy Tuning Ltd.
